RE-Block Partner Meeting: Workshop on Spin-off Projects
Edited on
02 April 2015The RE-Block project had its penultimate Partner meeting on 29-30 October 2014 in Budapest. The workshop was about spin-off projects and European funding opportunities.
All partners were represented at the workshop, altogether there were 25 participants.
Mini-scans, a survey of funding opportunities and first draft of matching project ideas were drawn up and sent out to each partner before the Workshop. Based on partners’ LAPs and the mini-scan ideas each partner identified one to be the subject of the workshop on project development.
On the first day, the overall results of the mini-scans were presented by the Thematic Expert. The partnership was informed that in the mini-scans there are only directions identified for project related spin-offs with a focus on EU cooperation programmes covering development and research but not investments in hard infrastructure. Partners’ ideas were grouped under 3 main development directions:
- Social Innovation
- Social Integration of minorities
- Energy Efficiency
Later during the day 2 “training-like” presentations were held about the new funding programmes 2014 – 2020, taking into account opportunities for partners and also about the method of project development.
The second day a workshop on the 3 identified topics was organised in 3 groups and each group worked on drafting a project outline related to the selected topic. The Lead Expert and the Thematic Expert was acting as a moderator in the process.
In the afternoon other project outputs, such as the Policy Recommendations and the Smart Urban Governance Guideline were discussed. The final agenda point was the Final Event and its organizational issues.
