Radom
Radom is close to the capital of the country. The geographical location of the city made it a transport hub, with important national roads and railway lines that cross there. The train to Warsaw takes about 2 hours. Currently a new civil airport is under construction and will open in spring 2021.
As a city located in the continental climate zone, Radom pays attention to adaptation to climate change. Protection of the natural environment is one of the main priorities of the city authorities. The city is implementing a variety of programs and activities in this field. The aim of these programs is to protect natural resources, improve the quality of the environment and ecological safety, and increase public participation in environmental protection. The "Plan for adaptation to climate change" has been prepared, as guidelines for the implementation of the city's climate policy. Also, "Low emission reduction program" runs since 2010 and aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions into the air.
Radom is an great example of a city that attracts many entrepreneurs thanks to its proximity to the capital, developing modern business infrastructure and the activities of municipal authorities. About 24,000 enterprises operate here, including domestic and foreign companies known in Poland and worldwide, which are the leaders in their industries. Radom supports all initiatives and real activities related to the development of the local economy, and in particular with the development of industry. Within the city, there is a sub-zone of the Tarnobrzeg Special Economic Zone, in which entrepreneurs can benefit from aid for investment outlays or the creation and maintenance of new job possitions.
