Zero waste based circular economy with design as the driving force.

Topics

  1. Circular economy
  2. Capacity building
  3. zero waste

Main policy issue to be addressed in relation to the selected topics

Waste management and better utilisation and reuse of waste materials. Kolding is a centre of industry and produces a great deal of waste of varying kinds. At the same time its municipal strategy focuses on sustainability and design as drivers of innovation, growth and development. It therefore follows that it is a logical step to develop a network to a) make better use of waste and its potential as a resource (one firm's waste is another firm's valuable resource etc) and b) demonstrate the value of design and design thinking in driving growth and innovation.

Have you already been involved in an URBACT network?

No

Useful Information

We are looking for partners from all over Europe, irrespective of development or region, that have an interest in and motivation for taking part in a network to facilitate international cooperation on waste management and use of waste as a resource in public-private partnerships on circular economic business models.
