Develop and improve tools of shared regional engineering
In cooperation with Strasbourg, Lille, Barcelona Regional, Bari and a German IBA

One of the main current issues for European cities is to deal with multi-scale challenges at local, regional and international level. The aim of this action planning network is to work on shared and partnership-based regional engineering tools that have several common priorities : connecting large cities and medium-size cities, connecting urban and rural regions, cross-border challenges, urban renewal policies, participation of all stakeholders, etc. Various cities have invented smart tools of urban and territorial innovation to face these challenges and the main idea of this action planning network is to share experiences around those tools and see how they can be spread, developped and improved. French urban planning agencies are one example of these multi-actors and multi-level partnerships. Strasbourg will be the Lead Partner. Strasbourg aims at developing a cross-border cooperation with Germany, based on climate issues and European diplomacy. Lille will be associated to the project because of its interest in regional planning and european cooperation. Among the european cities we are in contact with, Barcelona Regional (Spain), Bari (Italy) and a German IBA. To enrich this network, we would need partners who have developed or who are willing to develop that kind of tool in their own city.
