Anykščiai is a small but exclusive Lithuanian city with about 9600 inhabitants. The area of Anykščiai is rich in natural and cultural heritages, forests, lakes and rivers. The status of the resort area was granted to Anykščiai district in 2007. On December 20, 2018, the Anykščiai District Municipality Council approved the 2019-2025 Anykščiai District Municipality Strategic Plan. One of the goals in the Strategic Plan for Anykščiai is to become the resort city, other goal – to achieve the status of "Slow City".
We are looking for a Lead Expert, Project Partners and a Lead Partner (we are loking for cities already included in the CITTASLOW Network, as well as cities that want to become part of the Network).
Together we can help citizens to slow the pace of life and to live more comfortable!
Please apay attention that only cities with no more than 50000 inhabitants may be granted the status of a Slow City.
