Participate to the Local Government Climate Sessions in Poznan

The Poznan Local Government Climate Sessions (LGCS) will be held on 9-11 December 2008, starting with a one day event in Konin, followed by a two days session in Poznan (Poland).

"The Poznan LGCS will be an important step of the Local Government Climate Roadmap, from Bali to Poznan to Copenhagen, a process that seek empowerment of local governments in the UN post-2012 framework on climate change.
The LGCS will take place on the occasion of the Meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol in conjunction with the Fourteenth Session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP-14), a key event in the process of a new post-2012 climate agreement which should be generally agreed in Copenhagen 2009 during the COP-15.
This event will convene local government leaders and facilitate the dialogue between the local sphere of government and national and supranational levels of government, multilateral bodies and international organisations. Read more:
