ERRIN Open Days Seminar 2008 untitled 'Harnessing the potential of web 2.0 and knowledge management for improved regional cooperation programmes and projects' will take place on October 9th, 2008 in Brussels.

"One of the key issues surrounding European programmes and projects is how to disseminate and use the best practice developed not just at the end of the project but during their entire lifetime. This means communicating within and outside the network more effectively and efficiently. Increasingly projects are looking beyond traditional communication strategies and future territorial cooperation projects will incorporate both innovative content and innovative communication and organisational processes. ERRIN, the European Regions Research and Innovation Network, is a Brussels-based organisation that promotes joint action and knowledge sharing to enhance regional research and innovation capacities and competitiveness. ERRIN unites 70 European regions and regional innovation actors and their EU representation offices. This seminar organised by ERRIN offers a timely opportunity to gain insights into this emerging debate that has wide implications for EU regional policy, innovation and competitiveness. The key-note presentation will be delivered by Christopher Perrien, Internet Strategist on IBM's Worldwide Emerging Internet Technologies team, who is flying in from the United States. This will be followed by presentations and a panel discussion involving experts from the European Commission, INTERREG IVC, INTERACT, URBACT and the Innovating Regions Network. Read more:
