OPEN DAYS 2014 - The 12th European Week of Regions and Cities - to be Kicked-Off on 10 January

24 June 2019The Committee of the Regions (CoR) and the European Commission Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy (DG REGIO) invite interested colleagues from regional offices, associations and EU institutions to the OPEN DAYS 2014 kick-off meeting. The meeting will be webstreamed.
Apart from the evaluation and a feed-back from the 2013 event partners, the meeting will serve to announce the 2014 thematic priorities, to launch a period for applications made by regions (in order to create 'regional partnerships') and individual partners. Under the proposed headline "Growing together – smart investment for people", the OPEN DAYS 2014 are suggested to be structured around three thematic priorities:
- Connecting regional strategies: smart specialisation, digital agenda, SME support, low-carbon economy, training and social inclusion;
- Building capacity: new features and instruments in programme management;
- Territorial cooperation: the new generation of pan-European programmes.

- 11:40-12:00 Evaluation of OPEN DAYS 2013 (presentation of results and media analysis by CoR, remarks by the audience)
