The Arrival Cities project was presented in the seminar "Thinking the city: the urban dimension of sustainable development"

The last 9 May at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon took place the seminar "Thinking the city: the urban dimension of sustainable development". During the event the Arrival Cities project was presented by Dina Moreira our Strategic Manager.

 

“The event, promoted by the Portuguese National URBACT Point and the Cities Forum, was targeted to an audience interested in urban and local development policies, and has seen the participation of 230 people.
European, national and local policy makers and technicians, representatives of various universities and research centers, private and public companies and non-governmental organizations were present, which provided a reflection on the role of cities in the sustainable development of the European area. Territorial cohesion, with particular emphasis on the Urban Agenda for the European Union and the URBACT III European Cities Networks.

The opening session of the seminar was attended by the Secretary of State for Spatial Planning and Nature Conservation, Dra. Célia Ramos and the General Director of the Territory, Dr. Fernanda do Carmo. The closing session was chaired by the Assistant Secretary of State and Environment, Eng. José Mendes.
