Everything is ready for Nort sur Erdre: the Idea’s Market event

Nort-sur-Erdre, with around 9.000 inhabitants located in a much bigger catchment area and with a growing population, is a “small town becoming a real city”, as the Mayor likes to say. It is the main urban pole of a peri-urban area located in the North of Nantes metropole, benefiting from a green setting with high quality natural amenities (river, canal and surrounding forests). One of the main challenges of the city is to ensure a balanced development with an enhanced commercial and quality services’ offer whereas preserving a quiet setting as a place to live.

 

This town will be the location for the next international meeting of City Centre Doctor project, scheduled from the 3rd to the 6th of April 2017. Partners, with the support of several experts, are expected to prepare concrete ideas to be included in the Integrated Action Plans, following the results of the Place Analysis carried out in each city in 2016. Roundtables, common exercises, city centre walks (and saliling!), discussion with experts and training sessions will be the main ingredients of the meeting: a river full of ideas and creativity is expected to overwhelm participants, but Nort sur Erdre is well equipped with boats… So, let ideas flow!
