Edited on
22 August 2016The URBACT Summer University is a unique learning journey aiming at building the skills and capacities of urban professionals of cities involved in URBACT action-planning networks.
During three days, participants will work in small groups on a virtual city case and develop concrete solutions to the problems of this city. As a result of taking part in the URBACT Summer University, participants will:
-Get familiar with latest practices and knowledge on policy areas of their interest (i.e. entrepreneurship, jobs and skills, regeneration of neighbourhoods, nature-based solutions, community cohesion and diversity).
-Learn methods to set up local partnerships (URBACT Local Groups)
-Use tools to develop integrated policies
-Set indicators to monitor their progress and impact at local level
-Network with European and national peers
Inspirational talks, working sessions in different sites across Rotterdam, as well as informal social activities will offer additional inspiration and networking opportunities for participants to bring back to their city.
