URBACT Infoday in Greece
Edited on
20 June 2019The Greek Infoday took place in Athens on 13-14 November 2014. Participants were able to learn about URBACT, Network experiences and about URBACT III.
The infoday included a variety of guests from all over Greece such as city representatives, managing authorities and others interested in sustainable urban development policies. Participants had the opportunity to learn about URBACT, the programme, URBACT II results, and meet and interact with other participants.
On 13 November, the afternoon session of the infoday was reserved for partners of ongoing networks. Partners were able to exchange their experiences and discuss their Local Action Plans as well as ways of improvement.
On 14 November, the Infoday started with an introduction by the Ministry of Development and Competitiveness. It was then followed by a presentation of URBACT in a Nutshell and URBACT II results were shared with the participants. A presentation by the Ministry of Development and Competitiveness gave an overview of the National framework for Sustainable urban development 2014 - 2020. URBACT III was introduced, which gave an overview on how cities can participate in the call. Furthermore, representatives from URBACT Networks in Greece discussed their exchanges and experiences.
