The Final Event of the Jobtown project - The URBACT network concerned with youth employment and opportunity - will be held as culmination of the project on 24th of March in Brussels.
The final conference of the Jobtown project will be held the 24th of March in Brussels at the headquarters of Emilia Romagna Region.
This event brings together local and EU level perspectives and decision makers, with a view to forging some shared conclusions and illuminating what action is needed, by and for whom.
Local and regional elected officials, MEPs, Commission officials, public administration officials (local, regional, national, and representation offices), European platforms and specialists will meet to discuss results achieved inside the project.
Jobtown has been working for three years to find what works and what doesn’t, what is most doable and effective as a local action in favour of youth employment, and what practices should be spread or fomented. This includes how towns, cities and local communities can most effectively support youth employment, how can EU actions and decisions make a real difference and support effective local action and what will be the direction in the coming legislature for interrelated EU Policies for youth, employment and regional development.
This event will present a selection of key conclusions in the field of learning, and a collective policy paper signed by Jobtown’s elected officials – which MEPs will be invited to support and contribute to.
Representatives of the OECD and other specialized bodies will also make expert contributions.
