Dębica, situated in south-eastern Poland, has over 48 thousand inhabitants. It stands at the edges of Sandomierz Basin and Carpathian Foothills, on the River Wisłoka. The picturesque town is not far from Ukrainian and Slovakian borders.
Dębica plays an important role in domestic and international communications system. It is well located, with the main west-east European highway - which goes from Germany to Ukraine, the connected railway transportation, and with 2 airports (50 km and 120 km from Dębica).

1. Unemployment rate reaches over 18 per cent in Dębica. The improvement on the situation requires developing separate activation and training schemes targeted at particular groups (e.g. women-majority of unemployed) as well as facilitating access to career placement for young people, who are finding difficulties on the market in finding their first job, as they have no experience and good professional background.
2. The need to modernize the Health System to avoid long queues to doctors.
3. Lack of the Nursing Home for the elderly and lack of the place for single and molested mothers.
