Young people as co-creators, hybrid ecology of engagement, youth policy cityscape, learning space - here are some of the concepts that lay at the basis of My Generation at Work project and its objective to map the new opportunities for young generations in finding and sustaining employment and a career. Let’s see how they are using them!

In the Star Trek series the star-ship Enterprise goes “boldly where no (wo)man has gone before”. My Generation at Work has used this space journey as a metaphor and inspiration for their discovery journey. They have even used the word ‘Enterprise’ to denote the MGatWork projects in the partner cities. Also ‘space’ has been one of their key concepts, denoting spaces of connection and co-creation. The network is working on the challenging and precarious situation of the young generations in finding and sustaining employment and a career. Trying to get to grips with the changes of the current economic and employment crisis and their meaning, MGatWork proposes a journey though unmapped frontiers. And there is a need of new concepts to interpret this, and make it ‘visible’. It also means that there are new concepts or concepts used in a new way, such as enterprise, go for it!, innovation spiral or learning space.  You can find more about their work in progress and you are also invited to participate on this discovery journey and in future discussions!
