The irrational industrialization from the past, the climate change and the recent international financial crisis demand important changes on the urban development of Braşov and the surrounding cities. With the help of the European Structural Funds Braşov wants to implement the Integrated Development Plan which have been recently developed not only for Braşov, but for the entire Braşov  Metropolitan Area.
Intended actions are to promote a better cooperation between the city administration and the MAs by setting up a helpdesk for the cities in order to assist them in their relations with the MAs and to build up and professionalize the expertise on EU-funding within the city administration especially in sustainable urban development, environment and innovation.
