Dabrowa Gornicza
The City is situated in southern Poland in the Silesian Voivodeship since its formation in 1999, previously it was in Katowice Voivodeship. Dąbrowa Górnicza is one of the cities of the 2,7 million conurbation - Katowice urban area and within a greater Silesian metropolitan area populated by about 5,294,000 people (the most urbanized area of Poland with the regional capital in Katowice). The City is situated between two provincial capitals (which are economic, educational and cultural centres), Katowice and Cracow. The attractive location of Dąbrowa Górnicza provides access to the existing markets of Poland, and of North Moravia in the Czech Republic.Dąbrowa Górnicza is a city with an extremely varied landscape. On the one hand, industrial plants dominate the urban landscape, whilst, on the other hand, picturesque recreational areas, sites of natural interest and interesting industrial archaeology predominate.
