Workshop: Monitoring Sustainable Urban Development Plans Using RFSC and Open Data, Brussels, 17th of February

Are you a representative of a local, regional, national or European institution interested in using the Reference Framework for European Sustainable Cities and open data to reach integrated and sustainable urban development? The workshop will feature concrete examples about the use of these tools to monitor sustainable urban development plans. 

Organized by the RFSC Secretariat and the three RFSC ambassador cities Umea (SE), La Rochelle (FR) and Hradec Kralove (CZ), the workshop will provide participants with the opportunity to:

  • learn how the RFSC is being used at local level, in particular to monitor sustainable urban development plans 
  • strengthen your knowledge about integrated sustainable urban development
  • find out why RFSC and Open data are a significant asset for cities 
  • discuss how cities gather and share open data to monitor sustainable 

The Reference Framework for European Sustainable Cities (RFSC)  is an online toolkit designed to help cities promote and enhance their work on integrated sustainable urban development. It is available free of charge to all European local authorities and offers practical support in integrating sustainability principles into local policies and actions, as well as giving a platform and a common language to the community of cities that are interested in learning from each other.
