Conference of Mayors: The Impact of Intra-EU Mobility at Local Level, Brussels, 11 February 2014

24 June 2019The Committee of the Regions (CoR)(link is external) and the European Commission Directorate-General Justice(link is external) (DG JUSTICE) organize a joint conference on the topic of “Intra-EU Mobility at Local Level”(link is external) that will take place in Brussels, the 11th of February 2014.
The conference deals with a topic of concern among current EU affairs: the intra EU-Mobility. It builds on the conclusions of an independent study commissioned by the European Commission on the impact of the free movement of EU citizens at local level. The event represents one of the five actions defined by the Commission in answer to some Member States concerns regarding free movement of EU citizens, as presented in the Communication on Free movement adopted on 25 November 2013.
The event will bring together mayors and representatives of local authorities to discuss the impact of intra-EU mobility at local level and exchange best practices in order to maximize beneficial impacts and respond to potential inclusion challenges.
