Mid-Term Event in Gelsenkirchen, 26-28 March 2014

The Mid-Term Event of the RE-Block project will be held in Gelsenkirchen on 26-28 March 2014. The venue of the event will be the newly refurbished Hans-Sachs-Haus, the town hall of Gelsenkirchen. As for the programme, on 26 March the 3rd Steering Committee meeting will take place. Project Coordinators, the Thematic Pole Manager, the Lead Expert and the Thematic Expert will discuss the Mid-Term Review Report and how to co-ordinate content related issues after the Mid-Term Event. 
On 27 March the Transnational Urban Hub Workshop will start. The Peer Review Synthesis Report will be presented by Lead Expert, Ágnes Böhönyey. After this the first drafts of Local Action Plans will be introduced. 
The last day will give place for the Mid-Term Conference. Thematic blocks – such as Governance and Finance – will give a frame for external experts, the Thematic Pole Manager, the Thematic Expert and their presentations. For example, good practices of governance from Gelsenkirchen will be presented by former town planner, Wolfram Schneider. Later further possibilities and spin-off project opportunities are going to be elaborated by Thematic Expert, Hen Gerritse. 
In the afternoon an optional visit to the Tossehof Estate and other Renewal Areas will be organised.
