City of Edinburgh: activities started in the context of Local Action Plan

The City Council started a piece of research with Edinburgh Research Institute looking at employment practices for older people.
As part of Get Up and Go progrmme, the Council ran an awards programme and organised a ceremony on 21st September 2010 attended by over 100 people: www.edinburgh.gov.uk/info/1444/activities_for_older_people/404/get_up_and_go
Finally, they organised a joint event to coincide with an Interregional Programme, Cities in Balance, and invited the Local Support Group to attend all the social events, as well as doing a combined conference on 23rd September 2010.
