Mile Handbook

How to design a good transnational exchange programme? How to develop quality action plans? How to ensure the implementation of action plans and maximize their impact at local level? And what is the role of Managing Authorities in all this?
These are the main questions facing cities and Managing Authorities (MA) of the European Structural Funds engaging in European URBACT II projects. This handbook is meant to share practices and approaches drawn from the pilot experience of the Fast Track Network Managing Migration and Integration at Local level- Cities and Regions (MILE) in its attempts to address these questions. It does not intend to promote a model for replication, but to be rather a tool for learning and reflection when implementing an URBACT II project, in particular in the thematic area of social inclusion.
