Galati
The City of Galati is localted in the south- eastern part of Romania. With a population of nearly 300,000 inhabitants Galati is the 7th largest city in Romania. The Port of Galati is the place where the Danube river turns into a maritime zone.
Being mainly an industrial zone, tourism infrastructure is developed to a basic level. The main employers in Galati come from metallurgic, naval and construction industry. Comerce follows closely behind as major job generator. SMEs are particulary active in Galati in commerce and in the construction industry.
The City of Galati has a strong interest in strengthening its local SMEs by various support offers. Financial and non-financial support instruments shall help the efficient absorption of existing funding for SMEs. The development and improvement of entrepreneurial and innovative potentials require attractive conditions of the location. Galati puts high effort in this and fosters activities of coordination and collaboration with the local key partners.
