Minibus of Joy visited the Municipality of Grosuplje for the first time on Saturday, the 12th of March. This was also the first event for the public within the URBACT's Playful Paradigm (Second Wave) project in Grosuplje.
It was a cold but sunny day, perfect for introducing Minibus of Joy to the citizens of Grosuplje. There were a lot of children, from the youngest – 4 years old, and the oldest – around 12 years old. Their parents were also present during the playful and creative activities, making conversation around coffee and teas, which were also available.
The mayor of Grosuplje, Peter Verlič, Ph.D. was also present and said to the public: “Our motto of the project is well described by the quote of G. Bernard Shaw – We don’t stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing. It is great to see people of all generations play. Socializing and being a part of a community is important for us and what better way than to do that through play?”
Minibus of Joy is a program led by the non-profit organization Skala.
