URBACT participates in the 7th Global Forum of the Milan Urban Food Policy Pact (MUFPP), which takes place from October 19th to 21th in Barcelona. An opportunity to share knowledge and experiences about food and local action as a global response to the climate emergency.

Since 2013, URBACT has supported 8 networks to learn from each other on the topics of sustainable food and urban agriculture. This represents almost 50 cities leading the transition towards more sustainable local food ecosystems.

URBACT is also a partner of the Glasgow Food Declaration, placing food and local action at the heart of the global response to the climate emergency.

Building on the varied experiences of URBACT’s smaller towns and larger cities, this session will present URBACT’s work under the Food Knowledge Hub, discussing integrated local food systems through a variety of entry points, stakeholders and activities. It will also aim to inspire local governments to take action in the lead up to COP 26.
