Objectives of this workshop:
- general overview of the `state of the art´ interplay of the right to adequate housing and the EU framework. 
- identify key messages to raise towards the EU institutions on homelessness and housing for the European Advocacy strategy.

10:05 - 10:10 General overview of the EU Advocacy Plan, Q&A  by Maite Arrondo

10:10 - 10:40 Presentation and discussion, “Housing Rights must be respected and promoted by EU Institutions for the Benefit of EU citizens” , focus on EU Economic governance and financial supervision, by Prof. Padraic Kenna, Galway University  & Questions 

10:40 -  10:45 Video from International Union of Tenants on the impact of the COVID crisis on people living on rental.

10: 45 - 11:15 Draft Report “Access to decent and affordable housing for all” of the Committee on Employment and Social  Affairs of the European Parliament, by MEP Kim Van Sparrentak & Questions

11:15 - 11:25 Mini break

11:25 - 11:45 Homelessness and the financialisation of housing: the role of  human rights´, by Méabh Temple, Master in Human Rights and Democratisation & Questions

14:05 - 14:45 Divided into two groups, 20´guided discussions on proposal of messages for doing advocacy at EU level (using MIRO wall):“Housing Rights must be respected and promoted by EU Institutions for the Benefit of EU citizens:  focus on EU Economic governance and financial supervision” ( Briefing paper and presentation by Prof. Kenna)
