Several stakeholders from Tallinn Local Support Group, such as students, teachers, headmasters and companies, gathered together to define next steps in the transference of the Educational Innovation Network.

The meeting kicked off with a summary of the main activities and learnings derived from the 2nd ON BOARD meeting held in Halmstad in May, by Katrin Parve, Head of local group (Tallinn Education Department). During Halmstad meeting, a market place was organised, where all city partners presented 1/3 educational innovative projects that can be easily replicated in other cities. These projects are meant to be developed in other ON BOARD cities so they work as a “driver” for the development of the local Educational Innovation Networks.

In order to present these projects to their Local Support Group, Tallinn prepared an exposition to show examples of innovative education projects that other ON BOARD cities are carrying out. Tallinn Local Suport Group members had the opportunity to choose the ones to be implemented in Tallinn’s educational institutions. Teams adapted the projects to their needs and possibilities. For example, Mustamäe district referred to the Viladecans’ project “Emotions” and decided to start developing the emotional intelligence of children. Tallinn Kadaka preschool, in coordination with the Tallinn University, has already launched a similar project.

Kristi Krilovs, the Estonian coordinator of the educational programme “Enterprising Schools” spoke about opportunities available to educational institutions participating in the network - both schools and preschools are invited to join.
