B.1. Understanding of integrated and sustainable urban development:
Both my education and professional and political career are closely related to sustainable and integrated urban development. I hold a Bachelor’s and Advanced University Degree in the field of political science and local development. My education has given me a robust academic background in the fields of participatory, integrated approaches to urban development. In particular, issues that support governance and good management and policy making: social and gender budgeting, analysis of Social and Health policies, Local development and governance, Urban sociology and analysis of collective behavior. I have gained proficiency in elaboration and implementation of public policies, planning, Management of innovation in public and private administrations and E-government. As a fellow researcher I have gained knowledge on economic issues, such as employment and processes of change for urban development. As a research assistant I have gained an excellent knowledge and understanding in local-development communication. As a professional involved in the development of the strategic development plans of the Metropolitan Area of Venice, I mapped, interacted and analyzed strategic projects and drafted recommendations for updating local governance policies. As a local elected representative, I am directly involved in governance and policy making, I am in charge of budgeting, participatory policy-making and EU cooperation. As URBACT LP I have gained in-depth understanding.
B.2. Understanding of exchange and learning processes at transnational level:
With my URBACT and H2020 direct experience as ULG and political representative of a municipality, as well as with the experience in ERASMUS + I have developed a strong understanding of the dynamics and processes of exchange and learning in transnational level. Importantly I have developed a keen comprehension of the different interests of exchange and learning according to the different level of involved stakeholders: for politicians, technical and civil society representatives, having in different moments, been in their position. I have developed skills to understand the personal/professional framework that can support the transfer of specific concepts, using different language and example that can be more understandable to each level. I use this also at a local level, using dialogue and good listening and observation skills to better grab the cultural, social and ideological background to try to find common ground. My strength in international experience is strong empathy.
B.3. Proficiency in English:
My capacity of communication in English has been gained both as part of my education (compulsory subject from the primary schools to University) and for professional reasons. I have collaborated as researcher and social analyst in international projects, and I have also been in charge for an URBACT ULG and a Horizon 2020 project, where I have drafted IAPs and reports in English. I have developed several presentations, and have very good oral skills, as I have participated as panelist, expert and practitioners in several international public events, in my political career I have learned to speak clearly and for different target also in English. My participation in transnational initiatives has greatly improved such skills.

Local Governance
Summary Thematic expertise:
My education and professional political career have allowed me to develop a robust expertise in local governance issues. I hold a Masters’ in Political science with expertise in elaboration and implementation of public policies, social budgeting, business planning, management of innovation processes in public and private administrations, e-government & e-democracy. I also hold a BS in Sociology focusing on social and gender budgeting, local development and governance, urban sociology and analysis of collective behavior. I have been part of the city council of San Donà di Piave since 2013 and currently I am the Deputy Mayor for the following tasks: urban regeneration, financial resources (tax system / spending review / management control), European, national and regional funds. I am also in charge of the EU project management unit and I have participated in URBACT, Horizon 2020 projects on urban local development and governance. For URBACT “City Centre Doctor”: my role has consisted in acting as a liaison between partner representatives and with national and EU institutions. For Horizon2020 WeGovNov: I have coordinated the municipality's Horizon 2020 strategic planning and implementation practices for this: I was responsible for youth policies and city council initiatives concerning high-school students: organization of educational / cultural workshops, formative events and negotiation talks; including the design and development of the welfare planning of the municipality.

E.1. Knowledge on participatory methods and tools for co-production and implementation of local polices :
As coordinator of the ULG in San Donà, I participated in the URBACT Summer University in Rotterdam and I have applied such methods for the development of the IAP in the CCD network.
E.2. Knowledge on integrated approach for the design, delivering, monitoring and evaluation of urban strategies/policies:
The project in which I have been involved as ULG coordinator and also as political reference person is CCD, where I have coordinated and participated in the work of the ULG and developed the IAP according to the Results framework of URBACT, with which I have acquired familiarity. Also, as a social researcher I am familiar with monitoring and evaluation tools of urban policies and most recently, as councilor for budget of the Municipality, I have gained a good understanding of participatory and social budgeting, which include a sound knowledge of indicators for monitoring and evaluation.
E.3. Awareness of the main policy and funding schemes for sustainable urban development at EU and national level:
I am constantly involved in the topic as part of my role in the municipality and participating in several initiatives promoted by the URBACT, as manager of EU programmes and projects I am constantly updated on the development of policy at EU level.
E.4. Ability to understand specific local situations and adapt tools and content to different local realities:
My experience, not only in international projects, but also as local politician has strengthened my capabilities to understand and adapt my communication skills to different contexts and backgrounds. Also, being involved in planning of cultural campaigns, I fully handle diversity and cultural aspects, so that I can easily adapt content to different stakeholders and target groups.
