Edited on
29 March 2018The #EUGreenWeek will take place 21-25 May 2018. It will be celebrated throughout Europe during partner events in April to mid-May 2018.
EU Green Week 2018 will explore ways in which the EU is helping cities to become better places to live and work. Showcasing policy developments on air quality, noise, nature and biodiversity, waste and water management, it will promote participatory approaches to urban development, networking schemes, and tools for sharing best practices, engaging local authorities and citizens, and encouraging them to share their vision of a sustainable future.
The week will officially open on 21/5 in Utrecht (NL) and will close on 25/5 in Madrid (ES). The high level EU Green Cities Summit will take place in Brussels, 22-24/5. Registration for participants for the high level EU Green Cities Summit in Brussels (BE) will be open from 3 April 2018.
The week will include the European Week for Waste Reduction Awards at the Committee of the Regions. The European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR) is organising its annual Awards Ceremony. This event will reward the most outstanding actions on waste prevention carried out during the EWWR 2017 in November.
In addition, the programme also features many exciting events organised by partners around Europe, taking place from the end of April until mid-May. Check out what's happening near you, watch the livestreaming and join social media conversations with #EUGreenWeek!
