Nature-oriented playgrounds are not just for fun!
Edited on
17 November 2020During covid-ridden times, the outdoors and greenspaces are becoming more important than ever - for all age groups including kids.
The City of Poznań is developing a network of natural playgrounds in kindergartens and equips gardens with eco-demonstrators, installations supporting ecological education and outdoor recreation for children.
Despite restrictions connected with the pandemic situation in 2020, new spaces are created to increase the amount of greenery in the city center and other districts of the City. Nature-oriented playgrounds affect not only the health and leisure style of children attending kindergarten. They also have an impact on the air quality, reduce heat islands effects and increase biodiversity.
The attractiveness of green playgrounds is appreciated by teachers, who try to spend more time outdoors with the children instead of closed classroom spaces, limiting the emission of the Covid-19 and other viruses typical for the autumn season.
