One of the priorities of the Karvina municipality is to improve situation inside the Roma community. The statutory city of Karviná wants to focus on three basic sub-themes :  access to key services for the Roma population; active inclusion of Roma into the labour market through education and training; building self help capacity in Roma communities.

The importance of this problematic is visible in the statutory City of Karviná. The Ministry of labour and social development  elaborated the Analyse of social excluded Roma  locations in the Czech republic and three of this locations are situated rightly in the city of Karvina.

Because of Czech legislation – the government agents are not able to complete statistic information about ethnic minorities. Every figures about Roma population are just approximated.
