iPlace will discuss the new form of working in co-working spaces

By sharing workspaces more efficiently, other opportunities arise, such as allowing the workspace manager to curate more “community activities”. Businesses in these co-working spaces also help each other to build productive networks to increase leads and possibilities to find new clients.

This was a winning formula before the COVID-19 pandemic. The question is how do these spaces continue to be successful post-pandemic. Can the local business networks be sustained ‘virtually’ without a connection to a physical space? What changes are workspace managers making to adapt or is the co-working space business model not working anymore.

This is an important discussion for iPlace Project, a network of ten small cities from across Europe, co-funded by the URBACT Programme, with the aim to find new niches for local economic development, in particular, to support their local entrepreneurial ecosystems.
