The Annual RegioStars Awards

Annual RegioStars Awards have been organised by the European Commission since 2008, to identify good practices in regional development and to highlight original and innovative projects which could be attractive and inspiring to other regions. The RegioStars awards form part of the Commission's Regions for Economic Change initiative, which aims to highlight good practice in urban and regional development.  RegioStars 2013 has seen a record 149 applications from project promoters and regions from all Member States.
Under the chairmanship of Mr Luc Van den Brande, who will preside the workshop, the RegioStars Jury chose 27 finalists across the five categories listed here

OPEN DAYS 2012

Between 8 and 11 October, Europe's regions and cities are invited to showcase good practice in regional and urban development and discuss on the future of cohesion policy 2014-2020.

On the occasion of the OPEN DAYS 10th anniversary, the suggested 2012 headline will be: "Europe's regions and cities: Making a difference".

There will be three thematic priorities:
1.  Smart and green growth for all;
