The gendered landscape of European Cities
Join us in Umeå, Sweden on June 9-10, 2022 for an international conference exploring current research and practice on gender equality in European cities.

This conference will explore gender equality as a key component for sustainable, inclusive, and future-oriented urban development. Moderated by author and journalist Katrine Marçal, this event is aimed at urban practitioners and policy makers on local, regional, national and EU level and will foster an exchange on challenges faced by cities as well as share current good practices. Parallel sessions with internationally renowned speakers and panelists will include topics such as gender in climate change mitigation, gender as a driver for innovation, and social progress through equal participation in the labour market.
Digital participation will be made possible for parts of the conference program.
