The project kicked off during the first transnational meeting in November in the Lead Partner’s city of Újbuda, a district in the capital of Budapest.
The programme encompassed a variety of activities, interactive sessions, and presentations. Everything took place in the creative area of Újbuda giving the participants the chance to meet and speak with local creatives through a presentation by the local contemporary architecture centre “KÉK” and a walkshop past various creative places such as craft shops, galleries, and places that have combined functions like cafés with exhibitions. A peer review was held afterwards allowing partners to give feedback based on their own field experiences. Furthermore, every partner city introduced their creative areas with pictures during the kick-off event so that others could form a first impression. Another useful exercise was the interactive session on the implementation related challenges, which allowed the partners to start thinking about what the challenges mean on a local level. Lastly, important practical issues such as management, communication, and setting up the ULG were addressed through presentations by the Lead Partner and Lead Expert.
