"European Green week : "Only One Earth, don’t waste it""

"The eighth edition of the European Green Week will be hold in Brussels on Tuesday 3rd to Friday 6th June, under the heading "Only One Earth, don't waste it"."

It is the is the biggest annual conference devoted to European environmental policy gathering together hundreds of participants, Policy makers, representatives of industry, non-governmental organisations and other environmental decision makers.
Several free conferences will take place during 4 days focusing on the sustainable use of natural resources, waste management, sustainable consumption and production. Urban issues will be in the heart of the matter : How can we switch to using sustainable means of transport? Can big construction projects such as the London Olympics 2012 be truly 'green'?  How can we make cities sustainable ? There will also be side events, including films, debates, site visits and the annual presentation of the European Business Awards for the Environment and LIFE Environment Awards.
