The European Parliament’s urban intergroup(link is external), together with Council of European Municipalities and Regions(link is external) and EUROCITIES(link is external) invites the event ‘A Europe closer to citizens? The urban and territorial dimension of cohesion policy post-2020’ on 4 September 2018, 10.30-12.30 at the European Parliament, Brussels (BE).

The main objective of the event is to better understand and reflect on the regulatory framework for an integrated, place-based development in the new cohesion policy proposals, with a specific attention to the urban dimension. The European Commission will introduce the relevant parts of the common provisions regulation (CPR) and the ERDF/Cohesion Fund regulation and the European Social Fund Plus regulation, followed by reflections from EUROCITIES(link is external) and the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR)(link is external). The event will also allow the rapporteurs of the legislative files to reflect on the issues.
