Dve Mogili

Municipality of Dve Mogili is located in the eastern part of the Danube hilly plane over an area of 345 square kilometers. It occupies 13.1 percent of the territory of Rousse region and 0.3% of the territory of Bulgaria. It is named so because of two Thracian mounds situated north of the town. Two rivers pass through the Municipality of Dve Mogili - Beli Lom and Cheri Lom. They are a potential source for irrigation of arable farmland. At the boundary between the villages Baniska and Koprivets is built the largest dam lake in Rousse region-Baniska dam lake. The main characteristic of Dve Mogili is the beautiful nature combined with a rich cultural heritage. Municipality of Dve Mogili has an agrarian outlook, more than 59% is arable land. The working activities are based on the food industry, the textile industry and the services sector.

1. Change in the mentality and atitude of the local stakeholders and public in use of RES for establishment of consciuos urban community.

2. Attract the interest of foreign investors for creating of a "solar park " on the territory of the Municipality througg PPP model.

3. Encourage and help the local business to apply for funding from Operation Programs.

4. Providing support to people in the area to save energy and lower their energy bills.

5. Make legal presure on the Government for definitive formulation of the legal framework.

6. Trying to influence local and regional planning and decision making.

7. Encouraging energy efficiency in the area.

8. Substitution of the : street lighting in Dve Mogili and of the heating systems wich are using fuels with natural gas.
