On Monday 29 November 2021, 14:00-16:00 CET, URBACT and EUROCITIES are organising a webinar bringing together cities and relevant European networks and programmes to discuss and promote inclusive approaches to cultural policies in cities.

The objective is to share the results of the action carried out by URBACT and EUROCITIES in the framework of the Urban Agenda Partnership on Culture/Cultural Heritage.

The webinar will showcase experiences and solutions developed by URBACT ACCESS network, EUROCITIES, and bring along partners of the Partnership on Inclusion of Migrants and Refugees, including the findings of a study conducted by Migration Policy Institute (MPI) Europe related to the inclusion of migrants an minorities in arts and culture.

  • Museum without Walls, Tallin (Estonia) - A museum arts and engagement team working with local residents to explore and celerate heritage
  • Riga's Beehives (Latvia) - Creating temprary structures as the base from which to address cultural inclusion
  • Learning with Little Amal, Greater London Authority (UK) - London's policy and URBACT Local group are testing new evaluation measures to understand the social impact of a cultural project highlighting the plight of Syrian refugees
  • Music schools for social change, L’Hospitalet de Llobregat (Spain) - Promoting urban social cohesion, diversity and academic achievement through music, focusing on economically deprived areas with high levels of unemployment and poverty
  • Art is the best medicine, Tampere (Finland) - Promoting cultural wellbeing, and sharing insights from EUROCITIES culture forum
