A broad and deep understanding of city systems, from city leadership and governance through service delivery, to all the enabling aspects of cities. Very familiar with sustainability, resilience, and 'smart' agendas. Can support from assessment and strategy, through to operational improvements. Experience is EU-centric, however also in many non-EU countries, having led the global cities business for a global advisory/tech company.

Having worked globally all my professional life, addressing organisational improvements, I am well versed in working in and across multiple cultures. Multiple experiences at building skills and capabilities at leadership and operational levels through various interventions.

Matters of policy relevance on a variety of topics including resilience, service delivery, 'smart', economic development, etc

Experience of urban indicators as means to understand and build integrated performance enhancing approaches. Systems modeling (in a pragmatic more than perhaps complex digital sense) enhance this.

Having led the EU business for a major advisory / technology firm for more than a decade, the landscape of EU institutions remains complex though some light through the clouds does at times emerge.

Decades of working in many continents and cities provides a basis to manage adaptation to mulitple settings.
