CityMobilNet at the 5th European Conference on Sustainable Mobility Plans
Edited on
14 May 2018Right now, the 14th and 15th of May 2018, the international community of sustainable urban mobility experts, policy makers, scientists and practitioners is gathering in Nicosia, Cyprus for the 5th edition of the European Conferene on Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans. About 500 persons are discussing the latest developments and innovations as well as the experiences gathered and collected from first and second stage plan development. CityMobilNet is proud to be part of it!
How do cities plan their mobility development, how did they do this in the past and how could future planning processes look like? These aspects are at stake for two days in Nicosia when different international projects, local and regional planning and implementation experiences and scientific findings are presented and discussed in diverse workshops and plenary sessions.
CityMobilNet is happy to take the opportunity to host one of the workshops and to share its lessons learnt on tools and methods to apply for a SUMP process with the conference participants. Together with the opportunity to network, exchange and learn on the many aspects presented and discussed is this is the right setting for CityMobilNet's final meeting.
But our story does not end with the Nicosia SUMP conference: From mid to end of May, we will publish here our Integrated Action Plans and the actual Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans from our 11 partners! They'll go along with an Executive Summary in English each to read into the work delivered and learn on the projects to come from the plans' implementation. Moreover, we'll publish our experiences on the different steps of a SUMP process to add our piece of opinion on how to develop a SUMP under diverse local and regional conditions.
We cordially invite you to stay tuned to us for our achievements! Best by joining us on Twitter @CityMobilNet to directly see the publications.
