City of Dobrich: activities started in the context of Local Action Plan

Dobrich Municipality, together with the Municipal Union of Pensioners, organized a regional festival of artistic creativity of elderly people in relation to celebrate 1st October - International Day of Older Persons.

The festival was attended by 300 adults and older people from 32 pensioners’ clubs and few singing groups from Dobrich. They had opportunity to be acquainted with the work of the LSG, to meet the Mayor and discuss their problems.

 

On September 27th - 30th 2010 the Local Support Group participated a seminar for NGOs in the European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion. There was given the opportunity to present the Active age project and its’ activities.

On October 11th they participated at the Information day on Poverty and Social Exclusion in Dobrich and on December 14th at the Final Conference of the European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion. The municipality project Ageing and live better in the information society was presented as output of ACTIVE A.G.E. project.
