On 28th October cities of CITIES4CSR network gathered virtually to participate to the #2 Transnational meeting of the project, which focused on CSR and corporate volunteering, Integrated Action plan (IAP) roadmap and tools, as well as next steps of project partners’ local activities with their ULGs.

The meeting was an important step of the Activation phase of the two-years project’s implementation journey and it was an important moment of knowledge sharing with external experts and among project partners to continue the path towards the co-creation of their own IAP roadmap, with the involvement and contribution of their local stakeholders.

 The meeting was structured into 3 sessions:

 - the first one was dedicated to inspirational talks of external experts on CSR & Corporate volunteering, to improve skills and knowledge of partners on the theme, and the presentation of the URBACT network Health and Greenspace, to create synergies and capitalizing experiences of other URBACT networks, to find out the role of CSR in the design of green areas and spaces in the city;

- the second session included an interactive presentation of IAP roadmaps and the so-called Navigation tools to be used by cities in the process of developing IAPs;

- the third one devoted to the sharing of tools and lessons learnt during the URBACT e-University that partners will apply locally, as well as a round table of knowledge sharing on the project progresses made at local level and the next steps to be implemented in each city with engaged stakeholders.

The meeting ended with a link to the European SDG Summit “Impactful Partnerships to Build Back Betterorganized by CSR Europe in digital sessions from 26 to 30 October 2020, in which all cities were invited to participate. The suggested session was the one on the Business Response to Covid-19: Supporting Communities, Suppliers and Employees.

The project activities will then concentrate on the creation of local IAP roadmaps draft by each city, that will be discussed with the Lead Expert and the Lead Partner and checked during the #3 Transnational meeting that will be organized at mid-November.

Meanwhile, the local dimension is by no means left aside. Indeed, each city is working locally with its own Urbact Local Group that, despite the difficulties due to the Covid-19 crises, is meeting virtually thorough individual or collective calls in order to keep all stakeholders actively engaged in the project activities towards the implementation of IAP roadmaps.
