UIA & URBACT organised a final event featuring the main results of the culminating activity of Cities Engaging in the Right to Housing - a 1.5 year of cooperation between the 2 EU-funded programmes, paving the way to future knowledge sharing within the European Urban Initiative.
A year following the outbreak of the global pandemic, the housing crisis has intensified in Europe, as highlighted in Housing Europe’s State of Housing 2021 report. The right to housing has now become more important than ever before.
On 22 April 10.00 CET, UIA & URBACT hosted discussions and inspirational talks as the adoption of report on Access to Decent and Affordable Housing for All by the European Parliament progresses, and the Portuguese Presidency takes forward the European Pillar of Social Rights.
This event released the right2housing.eu knowledge platform, gathering the main take-aways of UIA and URBACT's learning activity, and bringing the voices of EU cities to the EU debate.
The recording of the event is available on our YouTube channel here.
You can dowload the PowerPoint here.
