Call for URBACT Programme Experts Applications

15 April 2019The Managing Authority of the URBACT III Programme is launching a call for applicants for the selection of 2 types of Programme Experts:
- up to 2 Programme Experts on Methods and Tools who will support the URBACT Secretariat with methodology
- up to 5 Thematic Programme Experts who will support the URBACT Secretariat with thematic content and capitalisation.
Call for applications for up to 2 URBACT Programme Experts on Methods & Tools
The Programme Expert(s) on Methods and Tools will support the URBACT Secretariat with the following:
- Transnational networking: drawing on the lessons from the previous calls, supporting the design and delivery of transnational networks, in particular in the frame of the final URBACT III call for networks;
- Capacity-building: supporting the design and delivery of activities under the capacity-building strand, in particular national training seminars and URBACT Summer University;
- Events: supporting the design and delivery of Programme events and other communication and dissemination activities.

Call for applications for up to 5 URBACT Thematic Programme Experts
The Thematic Programme Experts will support the URBACT Secretariat with the following:
- Knowledge capture: identifying, capturing and transferring knowledge and practice in sustainable urban development;
- Knowledge sharing: building up the URBACT Knowledge Hub;
- Events: supporting the design and delivery of Programme events and other communication and dissemination activities.

Both types of Programme Experts (Thematic/Methods & Tools) may expect to dedicate 6 days a month on average to their tasks.
The contract will be established for 18 months, with a three-month trial period. The contract may be renewed once for a new period of 18 months and then renewed again for a final period of 9 months.
The fees paid to Programme Experts are set at EUR 750 per day, inclusive of VAT.
Applications for both calls shall be submitted by 5 December 2018 3pm CET via email to Thierry Picquart.
Interviews of short-listed candidates will take place on 8-10 January 2019.
The URBACT Secretariat will organise a kick-off meeting with the selected Programme Experts on 24-25 January 2019 in Paris.
