Botkyrka
For years, Botkyrka municipality has put a great emphasis on measuring and following-up on the state of affairs in the municipality. From basic statistics on housing, health, education, employment, to more subjective data on levels of satisfaction with living conditions or with public services offered by the municipality, the municipality does its own yearly surveys. In parallel to this there are also a number of regional and national surveys that on a regular basis collect data on special issues and within special target groups. Through the Multicultural Centre, the municipality has also sponsored several research studies related to the field.
In a dialogue with both inhabitants and other stake-holders, the municipality has initiated a systematic process to formulate “future plans” for all six districts of the municipality. The contents of these plans will be connected to both yearly activity plans and those that are drawn up with a five year perspective. Botkyrka’s participation in the Together network is tied to the further development and evaluation of these future plans.
