Arrival Cities Partners continue working to present their Integrated Action Plans!

The Municiaplity of Roquetas de Mar
The Municipality of Roquetas de Mar in the framework of the Arrival Cities project has been working for over two years on the elaboration of an Action Plan for the Integration of migrants. This event which took place on the 10th of April represents the closing day of the participative process started by the URBACT Local Support Group two years ago.
The event started with the intervention of the Local Coordinator Mr. Iborra Rubio who detailed the activities carried out and the measures foreseen in its Action Plan in connection to Horizon 2020. Later the member of the Local Support Group explained how the URBACT methodology was applied to the local work and how the International experiences have enriched the participative process.
In the intervention Connection with EDUSI, the panel discussed how the work developed within the project connects with the great strategic commitment of the City with Horizon 2020. During the conference was also presented the initiative promoted by the Council of Andalucía, which with the support of the European Social Fund is planning to use the URBACT methodology to develop a Strategy which will have access to 150 million euro in the next five years. As closing activity took place a Round Table on Cooperation Dynamics in the Local Support Groups, though which the participants carried on the evaluation of the functioning of the Local Support Group, with a view to its transformation in the Local Commission of Community Impulse, foreseen in the ERIZD.
City of Riga
On the 11th of April the Municipality of Riga organized an event to present the Integrated Action Plan. The event was opened to the stakeholders who participated in the consultation process and to all the citizens. The participants were introduced to the project, the transnational exchange and learning experience of the ULG members and its impact on the design of Integrated Action Plan. The ULG coordinator presented the main outcomes and results achieved and the final version of the Action Plan which was approved by the Department of Education, Culture and Sport of the City Council of Riga which was partner in the project.
