ARRIVAL CITIES Network
Co-creating for better inclusion of migrants and refugees
Brussels, Committee of the Regions
The Arrival Cities Network has worked in relation to two themes:
- Meeting the needs of new arrivals;
- Integration of second and third generation third country nationals.
During more than two years of intense and fruitful learning and good practice exchange, the cities of Amadora (PT), Dresden (DE), Messina (IT), Oldenburg (DE), Patras (GR), Riga (LT), Roquetas de Mar (ES), Val De Marne (FR) and Vantaa (FI) have been investigating and sharing actions and solutions to foster migrants integration in the areas of social cohesion, access to labour market, accommodation and reception services, training and education facilities and civic participation.
This Conference will share some of the good practices and issues that have been identified and have political representation from the 10 cities in the network. Part of the programme will focus on a political debate in respect of what are the needs of cities and in what ways EU measures are supporting (or not) these needs.
The conference is aimed at elected representatives, local authority staff, social workers, researchers, students, NGOs, public and private organizations and representatives and members of civil society.
The project brochure in nine languages as well as the main project publication will be available for consultation during the conference. All the resources shared during the day will also be available on the project webpage.
The conference is free of charge but only accessible for registered participants, CLICK HERE to register.
If you have problems using the form, please contact chiaraves84@hotmail.it (phone: +39 347 97 60 166).
