The main aim of 4D Cities is get the interaction and the maximum complementation between the fields of Health and Innovation with the Cities in order to build a more developed society prepared to face the constant challenges of the XXIst century.

The life expectancy of the people is extended, the technology has entered in our lives and we should take profit of it all. The crisis has left many people out of the work market and the symbiosis between the areas of our project should became the gear for rolling a City of Oportunities in all senses. Citizens should feel proud of belonging to it  and they should also activelly participate as an important motor of this growth.

In order to achieve the identification of the key factors that interrelate health and innovation for the economic growth, we should first identify the different agents/actors that are involved in these two fields: health and innovation.

Each City Partner has different characteristics and the 4D Cities project should deliver not only the basic tools for interrelation between the agents/subjects in the health and innovation field oriented to the economic growth but also new models to be implanted.

After analyzing the interconnection between the different agents (knowledge/companies, knowledge/health care system, knowledge/citizens, etc.) we should be able to list the main model possibilities for/from each city.

We are enthusiastic to be part of the URBACT universe and participate as a Lead Partner. The URBACT philosophy, looking for the experiences and knowledge European interchange will for sure improve different aspects of the cities and the life quality of the citizens.

Learning, sharing and apply innovative solutions are the best medicines for the city growth.
