USER partners will soon begin the 2nd phase of transnational meetings: the workshops. The 9-cities partnership is divided in 3 subgroups of cities which work on comparable kind of public spaces.  During the workshops, the 3 subgroups meet in parallel. The aim of the workshops is to allow cities to deepen the experience-sharing about local practices. In October - November 2013, the first of the 3 workshop sessions will take place.

The 3 subgroups are constituted as follow:
- Group 1: Lublin / Malaga / Riga: Public spaces in old, culturally-significant city centres
- Group 2: Krakow / Lisbon / Grenoble Alpes Métropole: Single-use peripheral zones built in the 1970s-1980s
- Group 3: Pescara / Dresden / Copenhagen: Pericentral zones to be opened up and connected to the city

They will meet for the first workshop session on:
- Group 1: October 16th - 17th, in Lublin (Poland)
- Group 2: November 14th - 15th, in Krakow (Poland)
- Group 3: November 21st - 22nd, in Pescara (Italy)

The workshops will consist in working in the host city pilot site case, meeting local stakeholders and LSG members, eventually within the frame of a thematic focus cities will have decided collectively.

After each workshop, the 2 guest cities will write a "perception report", in which they'll mention what they've been surprised of, what they've understood of the host city issues, what recommendations they could give to the host city, and what they have learnt that could be of any use in their own city.

The Lead expert will attend all the workshop meetings.
